Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) Manager to lead and oversee the design, development, and implementation of EDI solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing EDI transactions, ensuring seamless data exchange between systems and trading partners, and leading a team of EDI analysts and developers.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end EDI operations including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Manage onboarding of new trading partners, including mapping, testing, and go-live support.
Collaborate with internal departments (IT, Logistics, Finance, Procurement) and external partners to ensure EDI compliance and performance.
Monitor EDI transactions (X12, EDIFACT, XML, etc.) for errors and resolve integration issues promptly.
Oversee the maintenance and upgrades of EDI platforms/tools (e.g., IBM Sterling, Cleo, Seeburger, MuleSoft, etc.).
Define and enforce EDI governance, standards, and best practices.
Ensure timely delivery of EDI-related projects, change requests, and enhancements.
Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of EDI developers and support staff.
Act as a primary liaison between the business and technical teams for all EDI matters.
Prepare documentation and reports for audits, compliance, and performance reviews.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in EDI systems, with at least 2+ years in a leadership/managerial role.
Strong knowledge of EDI standards and protocols (X12, EDIFACT, AS2, FTP, SFTP).
Experience with one or more EDI tools/platforms (e.g., IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, Cleo Integration Cloud, GXS, etc.).
Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
Experience in supply chain, logistics, healthcare, or retail environments is a plus.
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and integration strategies.
