Job Summary This position is responsible for curating and analyzing data for the Graduate and Adult Admissions team. Implement strategies for student retention and compile the data for better decision-making opportunities in the department and assist current instructors with Canvas operations. Responsible for managing social media accounts and marketing efforts for SOAPS and GAA. Essential Job Duties Assist in the gathering of student information to update inquiries, application databases, and files on all current students and prospective students. Create reports through Slate including inquiries, applications and enrollment information for the Graduate and Adult Admissions team.
Work with University Communications to create emails and reports for the marketing campaigns and manage communication flows for Graduate and Adult Admission teams.
Provide expertise and consultation with faculty and adjuncts in course design, development, content integration, implementation, content planning and evaluation of online courses and programs. Coordinates instructional design projects and assists with designs and learning materials for adjuncts. This can include text, graphics, audio, video, animations, and multimedia to support online teaching. Provide training workshops twice a year to adjuncts in best practices for online teaching. Manage marketing campaigns and social media. Will be responsible for the management of the social media calendar and the content of the campaigns.
Serve as the financial aid liaison for the school; provide students with assistance in securing the correct financial aid forms and direct them to the appropriate resources as needed. Monitor student accounts, including advising the Business Office about student account adjustments. Maintain a database for all current students to communicate important information regarding registration throughout their tenure at the university.
Manage and maintain all reporting for the Graduate and Adult Admissions team for academic and administrative departments as well as higher education ranking agencies, such as US News.
Supervise the Daily Report for the department with enrollment and retention data in conjunction with the IT Department of Union University. Create and facilitate the retention initiatives for the School of Adult & Professional Studies.
Maintain the operations manual for the Enrollment & Advising Teams.
Conduct informational meetings if Senior Program Director is unavailable. Answer telephone calls from current and prospective students, co-workers, and external callers in a positive and professional manner, and follow-up with others as needed to ensure accurate and timely responses when information is requested. Assist students with information to complete admission and registration requirements. Other duties as assigned by the Senior Program Director. Other Job Duties Required Qualifications Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree and two years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. This position requires excellent verbal and writing communication skills; strong organizational skills; practical knowledge of computers and proficiency in the use of MS Word, and Excel; excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with faculty, students, staff, and visitors; and the ability to follow directions with minimum guidance and supervision. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as a program coordinator or administrative role in higher education is preferred.
