REMOTE GIS ANALYST Position Available In Madison, Alabama

Geospatial Analyst Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Geospatial Analyst for a fully remote position. Preferred candidates will have experience directly supporting geospatial projects for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). A Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, or a related field with multiple GIS courses or equivalent GIS experience is required. Candidates must be U.S. citizens. Responsibilities Conduct imagery analysis and extract topographic features such as roads, rivers, and buildings from satellite imagery. Perform digital mapping and feature data extraction tasks within estimated hours and meet quality standards. Collaborate with remote team members and communicate effectively to achieve project goals. Support various geospatial projects, including TDS, MGCP, MUVD, and Conflation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. MUST have TDS experience to be considered Essential Skills Proficiency in geospatial and cartography techniques. Experience with feature data extraction from satellite imagery. Strong communication skills for remote teamwork. Ability to work efficiently in a production environment with goals for quality and timeliness. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Janus Geography contract and digital mapping projects. Knowledge of Esri products and GIS software. Prior involvement in mapping and supporting specific project numbers. Work Environment This position is 100% fully remote and currently funded through 2026. Team members are required to use their personal computers to access assigned workstations. The role involves extensive computer work, sitting in front of a computer while analyzing imagery and mapping topographic features.
