As part of our ongoing growth and expansion, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced GIS Analyst and Junior Developer to join our growing team. The ideal GIS Analyst and Junior Developer will be local to the Silver Spring, MD office, and will be able to work in a hybrid capacity. Responsibilities Duties of the GIS Analyst and Junior Developer will include the following: Determines the functional requirements of the GIS tasks to be performed, analyzing and evaluating the technical elements and data sources.
Provides technical direction and guidance to the technicians and performs quality control of the data including review of the work for correctness, completeness and accuracy in adherence to project specifications and user standards.
Performs spatial analysis and representation of data in maps.
Review of program documentation to ensure standards/requirements are adhered to and monitors progress in accordance with schedules.
Additional duties include, but are not limited to:
provide coding, testing and implementation of software for the NOAA Custom Chart, Marine Navigation websites, Nautical Chart Manual.
Provide bug fixes, upgrades and continual maintenance to software coding.
Qualifications The Ideal GIS Analyst and Junior Developer will have the following: Bachelor’s Degree in related field
1+ years of experience in Geographic Information Systems
Experience using using ReactJS, Redux, NodeJS, ExpressJS, Typescript, material-ui and AWS cloud tools is a

BIG PLUS.

Experience using Bootstrap 4 and jQuery is a

BIG PLUS.
