In office/In fieldValid Driver’s License/Maintain rental carMay be required to go into the Coop office to work on a regular basis, Multiple addresses within the counties(Gwinnett County, Forsyth County, Fayette County, Jackson County)Joint use program, fiber design, Grid, staking, multiple distribution programsSupporting the client with a review of field data, and using that data to create engineering designs for a new communication attachment, or to clear any safety violationsExperience in Joint use, Telecom, distribution, and identifying electric and communication facilities is a plus, as this will be a major component of the position.
Must understand concepts such as NESC Standards, EMC standards, GPC Standards, and constructionThe worker will get work assignments; use field data collected with GIS technologies to create engineering deliverables based on the job type assigned.
Make corrections on created deliverables based on feedback from reviewers. Work as a member of EMC design (including field design & staking) to design distribution engineering in compliance with National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) and utility standards. May be required to support fielding for GPC grid programs as neededOccasionally conduct field assessments and pole surveys to evaluate existing conditions and pole loading capacity.
Utilize design software and GIS tools to create detailed construction drawings and layout plans.
Analyze pole loading, clearance requirements, and make-ready conditions for new attachments.
Prepare make-ready engineering (MRE) documentation, bills of material (BOM), and work packages for construction crews.
Ensure adherence to permitting requirements, safety standards, and right-of-way constraints.
Track project progress and maintain accurate records and data for compliance and reporting.
The candidate will be required to participate in emergency storm response throughout the year when needed.
