GIS Developer Position Available In Hancock, Mississippi

GIS Developer Tek Annoa LLC Stennis Space Center, MS 39529 Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated GIS Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geographic information systems and a passion for developing innovative solutions that leverage spatial data. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain GIS applications that enhance our IT infrastructure and support various projects. Duties Develop and maintain GIS applications using programming languages such as Python and JavaScript. Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Design and implement RESTful APIs to facilitate data exchange between systems. Utilize version control systems like GitHub and SVN for code management and collaboration. Participate in Agile development processes, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications through rigorous testing and debugging. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in GIS and quantum engineering. Experience Proven experience in GIS development with a strong understanding of spatial data structures. At least 3 years experience in both developing new Pyton and JavaScript code and modifying existing Python and JavaScript code. Current knowledge and at lease 3 years of experience working with Oracle Databases and Structured Query Language (SQL). Current knowledge and at lease 3 years of experiencw working with ESRI web services, ArcGIS Server, ESRI ArcGIS Pro, and ESRI ArcGIS API for Python. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders. This position does require a SECRET Clearance.
