ASPX Job Purpose:
Under general supervision to maintain the property parcel mapping information for the Assessor’s office by using the ESRI software package to preform necessary changes to property map information in Lexington County. Analyze CAMA (mass appraisal system) data and mapping data to continue accuracy of the Assessor property records. Provides assistance to customers, title abstractors, developers, and other departments within the county that have questions involving the current property information listed in the tax map database.
Job Description:
To maintain, edit, update, quality control, query, and analyze geospatial data, including parcels and subdivisions and other layers in a Geodatabase in order to disseminate information to the public, businesses, other departments, government agencies, and others about the spatial relationships of features in Lexington County for the purpose of making decisions about current and future project development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To maintain the tax mapping portion of the database. Including the parcel, subdivision, parcel line and road right of way layers. Analyze deeds and other legal documents to determine ownership of parcels and parcel configurations. Have a working knowledge of deeds and other legal documents pertaining to real estate.
Minimum Education:
Associate’s degree, with under and including 1 year experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
Minimum Qualifications:
One year of experience with ESRI Suite of products, working knowledge of personal computer applications and strong organizational, communication and management skills. Must possess knowledge ofEsri’s GIS software products including ArcPro and ArcGIS.
