Role description:

As a GIS Specialist in our Nashville, TN office, you will assist Engineers, Scientists, and Project Managers with tasks that support ongoing transportation infrastructure project work. As a part of our Specialist & Scientists team, you will deliver specialist technical elements of multi-disciplinary projects and bids, meeting or exceeding client expectations and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards and codes of practice. The role sits within our Mobility global business area. We partner with our clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. Climate change, urbanization and digitization trends are requiring today’s mobility projects and systems to address an evolving set of demands from the world’s growing population. We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods.

Role accountabilities:

As a

GIS Specialist:

You will assist with field review GIS Data, desktop GIS data entry and

QA/QC GIS

data. You will leverage the ESRI Suite of technologies to build and maintain GIS-based tools for transportation infrastructure projects. As a member of our GIS Team, you will have the opportunity to develop best practices in project information management for various project teams. You will produce guides, manuals, training material, and associated documentation for workflows and tasks on transportation infrastructure projects. You will be a highly organized team member capable of working independently and developing solutions that address the technical and delivery elements of transportation infrastructure projects. Candidate must be willing and able to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, or closely related field Demonstrated experience in Information Management and Geographic Information Systems Experience with ESRI Suite of tools and technologies Preferred Qualifications Strong technical GIS skills, especially the ESRI Suite of Products. Experience with the Office 365 suite of tools Experience with maintenance/construction inspections Solid foundational knowledge of SQL Why Arcadis? We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is 52,000 – $78,000.
