Role:

Maintains and updates KUB’s utility records, mapping and asset management system using ESRI and GPS. Responsible for using KUB’s engineering IT systems to keep field assets accurately mapped and create As-Built drawings. Maps new and abandoned utilities including mains, services, and other equipment. Manages record drawings and other valuable documents needed to maintain a living record system for KUB’s wastewater and water systems and serves as a resource for researching historical documents as needed for project planning. Analyze data using ESRI, Maximo, and Excel and provide information graphically to support programs and presentations.

Qualifications Physical Requirements:

May require walking up to five miles per day over rough and/or hilly terrain when assisting with field surveying and layout work. Requires above normal mental and visual alertness quite frequently.

Position may require ability to:

drive vehicles; bend, stoop and lift various objects weighing 10-75 lbs two to three times per week; and work in all types of weather, with exposure to equipment and machine noise, dirt, and traffic. Physical demands for a specific position within this classification may vary and / or exceed those demands described above.

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or Equivalent Good personal computer skills with the ability to learn and use ESRI, AutoCAD, Maximo, GPS Equipment, SharePoint, and Excel Good written and oral communication, interpersonal, and team skills Valid driver’s license Please note that due to our internal education requirements, this position will not support H-1B immigration status; we are unable to provide immigration sponsorship for and/or based on this position.

Preferred Requirements:

Three or more (3+) years of ESRI mapping or drafting experience Two or more (2+) years of experience in engineering or construction, preferably with a public utility Experience with GIS, AutoCAD, Maximo, GPS Equipment, and Excel Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Geographic Information, Engineering Technology, or similar area of study from an accredited community college or university Selection Process About the
