Full-Time Position Summary:
HAPPI Health is seeking an experienced and proactive IT Manager to oversee all aspects of our Information Technology operations across five clinic locations, supporting a team of approximately 60 employees. The IT Manager is responsible for helpdesk support, vendor relations, equipment procurement, network and security management, and serving as the key point of contact for all clinical and administrative systems including Athenahealth, STAT, and Verizon VoIP services. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills, a collaborative spirit, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 helpdesk support to clinic staff for hardware, software, and network-related issues. Manage, monitor, and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, routers, firewalls, switches, and wireless systems. Serve as the primary point of contact for EHR system (Athenahealth), practice management (STAT), VoIP (Verizon), and other IT systems used in the organization. Oversee procurement, installation, and maintenance of all IT equipment and software licenses. Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers; evaluate performance and negotiate contracts and renewals. Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures, including security protocols, backups, and disaster recovery plans. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare-related IT standards. Collaborate with clinic leadership to assess technology needs and recommend cost-effective solutions. Track and manage IT inventory and software licenses. Train staff on the use of IT systems and promote best practices in technology use.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 3-5 years of IT experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role. Experience in a healthcare setting is strongly preferred. Familiarity with healthcare systems such as Athenahealth, STAT, and HIPAA compliance standards. Experience managing network infrastructure, firewalls, VPNs, and VoIP systems. Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to provide clear technical support to non-technical users. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:
Primarily on-site with regular travel to all HAPPI Health locations. Must be available for occasional after-hours support for critical issues or system upgrades.
