IT Manager 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars 25440 NW 8th Place, Newberry, FL 32669 Job Summary-IT Manager Inspired Energy, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a proactive and security-minded IT Manager to oversee our technology operations and infrastructure. This role leads a small team of IT professionals and is responsible for driving strategic initiatives that ensure secure, reliable, and scalable systems to support production and business growth. The IT Manager will focus heavily on network development, cybersecurity enforcement, risk analysis, and system resilience across our manufacturing operations. A key responsibility will be developing and implementing IT procedures and processes that align with industry-wide standards—including NIST 800-171 and CMMC —to bring the organization into compliance and maintain a strong security posture. Our environment is primarily Windows-based , including a hybrid Active Directory domain, requiring deep expertise in Windows systems administration, network management, and policy enforcement. The ideal candidate brings hands-on technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to align technology solutions with the fast-paced demands of a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the daily operations of the IT department, including a small team of technical staff. Design, develop, and maintain secure and scalable network infrastructure to support manufacturing and business systems. Oversee a primarily Windows-based environment , including Active Directory, Group Policy, and domain management. Implement and manage cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, endpoint protection, access controls, and incident response protocols. Conduct regular IT risk assessments to identify, evaluate, and mitigate vulnerabilities in systems and processes. Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with
NIST 800-171 , CMMC
, and other applicable standards. Oversee IT-related projects, including system upgrades, infrastructure improvements, and software deployments. Monitor and maintain hardware, servers, and enterprise applications to ensure performance, reliability, and security. Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to align IT initiatives with operational and strategic goals. Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to support technology needs and ensure service-level agreements are met. Manage data backup, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity initiatives. Provide end-user support, training, and troubleshooting for systems, devices, and applications. Stay current on emerging technologies, security threats, and best practices in IT management.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field — or an equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience . Minimum of 2 years of IT experience , including at least 1 year in a leadership or management role . Proven experience in network design, system administration, and cybersecurity implementation. Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and the ability to implement related policies and procedures. Experience conducting IT risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies. Hands-on experience managing a Windows Hybrid Domain environment (on-premises AD integrated with cloud services). Experience with SIEM systems for security monitoring and incident detection. Proficiency with firewalls, VPNs, Active Directory, endpoint protection, and backup solutions. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels.
Preferred:
5+ years of IT experience , with 2+ years in a leadership or management capacity . Familiarity with NIST 800-171 and CMMC standards and implementation practices. Experience working in a regulated manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) and cloud identity management. Experience managing Unifi network infrastructure including switches, access points, and security gateways. Familiarity with Webex VoIP phone systems , including administration and user support. Experience supporting and integrating with NetSuite ERP , including user access, data integrity, and process optimization. Experience deploying SIEM systems to support organizational cybersecurity posture. Experience managing SentinelOne as an endpoint protection platform. Familiarity with the BoldDesk ticketing system for IT support operations. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+ , CISSP , CISM , or CCNA .
