Position Summary As IT Director, you’ll report directly to the executive team and lead all aspects of SurgiShop’s IT strategy and operations. You’ll oversee system availability, helpdesk operations, cloud migration, ERP implementation, and KPI-driven performance tracking. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone excited to build foundational systems while driving efficiency, reliability, and long-term scalability. Key Responsibilities Design and implement a temporary, paper-based IT ticketing system Establish SOPs for incident logging, change requests, and support workflows Maintain a physical IT handbook and update it quarterly Monitor and maintain uptime for legacy applications (surgi.team, Usage List, QBO Card Creator) Execute basic monitoring (uptime checks, alerts) and perform routine maintenance Ensure 99.9%+ availability through failover and backup procedures Plan and lead the migration of core systems to cloud infrastructure Validate post-migration performance and availability metrics Optimize for scalability and long-term maintenance Collaborate with Operations to select, configure, and implement ERPNext (or similar) Oversee data exports, assist with testing, and support go-live readiness Develop and deliver user training materials and sessions Maintain up-to-date IT handbook covering all operational processes Conduct internal training and “lunch-and-learn” sessions as processes evolve Track and report on KPIs including system uptime, MTTR, MTBF, and first-contact resolution rate Present a quarterly dashboard to executive leadership, highlighting risks and opportunities Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field 5+ years of IT leadership experience; prior experience in distribution, healthcare, or fast-growth environments is a plus Strong expertise in systems administration, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and ERP systems (ERPNext or similar) Proven track record of leading helpdesk operations and implementing ticketing systems Exceptional organizational and communication skills with a knack for cross-functional collaboration Ability to manage both high-level strategy and hands-on execution Why Join SurgiShop?
