Location Doral Full/Part Time Full-Time Exempt from Classified Service No Minimum Rate 70622.40 Min Pay Frequency Yearly Maximum Rate 121624.80 Max Pay Frequency Yearly Regular/Temporary Regular Minimum Qualifications Completion of 60 semester credits to include 15 semester credits in a computer related field and two years of experience in the installation and maintenance of local area networks; or completion of an information technology certification program (Novell, UNIX, Microsoft, Oracle, DELL, or NORTEL) and four years of experience in the installation and maintenance of local area networks or wide area networks are required. Additional experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Recruitment Notes Technical support of local area networks: Support all systems that reside on the LAN; manage firewall hardware and/or remote gateways; research, analyzes, configures, installs, tests, and manages routers, may be at the 2nd level, switches, hubs, and remote connections. Defines system objectives and prepares operating standards: Establish procedures for data handling and control; project future hardware requirements based on present usage and anticipated growth to support office automation; determines and manages data security and emergency procedures; ensures the operational integrity of the network. Conduct capacity planning and analysis of hardware and software that will enhance operating and development activities without adverse impact to the system or clients Maintain network connections associated with moves, adds, or changes: Administer LAN topologies, and protocols to determine applicability. Develops benchmarks to determine equipment standard for purchase.
