IT Manager Ceres Environmental 6371 Business Boulevard, Sarasota, FL 34240

OVERVIEW:

Working under the supervision of the CIO, the IT Manager will be responsible for the company’s infrastructure, including networks, server infrastructure, end-user computing, and cybersecurity. The role will be responsible for multiple locations in the US, India, and New Zealand. The role will require taking directions and working intuitively to support the completion of the department’s goals and objectives in a professional and culturally appropriate manner. RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments, including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations. Performing disaster recovery operations and data backups when required. Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures. Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems. Replacing faulty network hardware components when required. Maintaining, configuring, and monitoring physical security systems Maintaining, configuring, and monitoring telephone and satellite systems systems Maintaining, configuring, and monitoring virus protection software and email applications. Monitoring network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made. Conferring with network users about solving existing system problems. Operating master consoles to monitor the performance of networks and computer systems. Coordinating computer network access and use. Designing, configuring, and testing networking software, computer hardware, and operating system software. Data center/closet design and cabling.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum associate degree in information technology or related field, with a CCNA or CCNP certification preferred. Preferred candidate with a bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field of study with a network engineering focus. Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware. Network security experience. LAN and WAN experience. Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions. 5 plus years of experience as a Manager Knowledge of Microsoft O365, Azure cloud environments, and security. Understanding of system-to-system integrations. Experience managing technology vendors, including ensuring accountability to service levels. Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewalls, routers, switches, and controllers. Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols. Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for designing and planning network communication systems. Provides specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection. Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources. Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization. A self-starter who can work independently but is comfortable working in a team environment. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Dependable and flexible when necessary. Some travel is estimated at approximately 10% within the

US. WORK ENVIRONMENT

Moderate noise typical of an office setting, such as computers, printers, phones, and light customer traffic. Occasional requirement to work on work sites in an outdoor setting.
