Job Purpose The IT field operations supervisor is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT equipment and systems at various sites. The IT field operations supervisor also coordinates with other IT teams, vendors, and clients to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The II field operations supervisor leads a team of field analysts. What you will do… Plan, schedule, and assign IT field projects and tasks to the field staff.
Monitor and evaluate the performance and quality of IT field services and ensure compliance with standards and policies.
Provide technical guidance and support to the field staff and resolve any issues or escalations.
Manage the inventory, procurement, and deployment of IT equipment and tools for the field staff.
Train and coach the field staff and conduct performance reviews and appraisals.
Prepare and maintain reports, records, and documentation of IT field activities and expenses.
Develop and implement best practices, procedures, and improvements for IT field operations.
Collaborate and communicate with other IT teams, vendors, and clients to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
Act as technical liaison with vendors who supply purchased products/services to verify compliance and stability Travel to HERC locations through service region(s) to oversee projects and work as needed
Develop relationships with the managers & VP’s in the service region
Support IT & Corporate initiatives and deployments
Evaluate and suggest process and technology improvements. Requirements At least five years of experience in IT field operations, including two years of managerial or supervisory experience.
Strong knowledge and skills in IT equipment and systems installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, including but not limited to:
Microsoft Windows 10 and Windows 11
Apple iPhone Devices
Printers
Ethernet Cabling
Wi-Fi networks
TCP/IP
Understanding of network equipment
Passport & willingness and availability to travel throughout the US & Canada
Certification in ITIL, CompTIA, Cisco, or other relevant IT fields is preferred.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field.
Skills Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
