Description Food For The Poor, one of the nation’s largest international relief and development organizations, does much more than feed millions of the hungry poor primarily in 17 countries of the Caribbean and Latin America. Overall Responsibility:

The IT Site Manager will oversee the day-to-day IT operations at Food For The Poor’s designated locations. This role ensures the seamless functioning of all technology systems, provides technical support to staff, manages IT infrastructure, and aligns IT strategies with the organization’s mission of serving the poor. The IT Site Manager will collaborate with regional and central IT teams to implement solutions that support operational efficiency, enhance productivity, and maintain data security.

  • A valid travel VISA is required for this position; this position is required to reside in San Pedro Sula
  • Duties:

    IT Operations Management

  • Oversee daily IT operations, ensuring all systems function effectively.
  • Manage the IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and communications systems.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime. Technical Support
  • Provide technical assistance to staff, addressing hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Maintain a ticketing system to document and resolve technical problems promptly.
  • Train staff on using technology tools and software effectively. Project Management
  • Lead and coordinate IT projects like system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement technology solutions that support organizational goals. Security and Compliance
  • Ensure IT systems comply with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and mitigate cybersecurity risks by implementing appropriate controls and protocols.
  • Maintain and update disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Vendor and Asset Management
  • Manage vendor relationships for IT equipment and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets and plan for hardware/software refresh cycles. Collaboration and Reporting
  • Work closely with the central IT team to align local IT strategies with global objectives.
  • Prepare and present reports on IT performance, issues, and project updates to leadership.
Qualifications Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • PMP or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT Management.
  • Experience in managing IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud-based systems.
  • Experience in the non-profit sector is a plus.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a must.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale IT projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Proficiency in Windows and MacOS environments.
  • Strong knowledge of networking (LAN/WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi), cybersecurity, and IT best practices.
  • Experience with ERP systems, Office 365, and collaboration tools.
  • Familiarity with database management and CRM systems is a must.
Skills:
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to use logic and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities of improvement
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with both internal and external partners effectively
