RMS Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Service Desk Manager to lead our IT support team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring timely, effective technical assistance to both staff and customers, while overseeing daily operations, improving service processes, and managing IT support resources. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong communication, problem-solving, and technical support expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and lead the IT support desk team, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluations. Ensure prompt and professional resolution of IT issues and requests. Establish and enforce IT support procedures, standards, and best practices in line with organizational IT policies and security protocols. Monitor key performance metrics (ticket volume, resolution time, customer satisfaction, SLA compliance) and report on service desk performance. Identify and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction. Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors to ensure system reliability, availability, and security. Oversee IT support resources, including software licenses, hardware inventory, and support tools. Stay informed on industry trends and technologies; provide strategic recommendations and guidance to the support team and leadership.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role. Proficient in IT support tools, ticketing systems, remote troubleshooting, and documentation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users. Demonstrated leadership and team management skills. Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities; able to manage multiple tasks and projects.
Preferred certifications:
