We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated manager to oversee our client Transport and corporate office LAN network. This role will lead a team of network engineers responsible for supporting and maintaining the Candescent client-facing transport and corporate network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in network technologies, proven leadership capabilities, and a track record of delivering high-availability network services at scale. This role will be responsible for overseeing the planning, deployment, monitoring, and optimization of client transport services, corporate office LAN seervices, ensuring reliability, scalability, and top-tier performance. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with architecture, operations, and client success teams to ensure our network consistently exceeds customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Management Lead, mentor, and manage a team of network engineers specializing in client transport systems. Drive performance management, technical development, and career growth. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Client Transport Network Oversight Manage the delivery and ongoing support of client transport services across the Candescent Network. Ensure high availability, performance, and fault-tolerance of client-facing transport systems. Oversee implementation of new client circuits, upgrades, and migration projects. Network Design & Planning Work closely with architects to evaluate and implement network design requirements. Translate business and client requirements into scalable transport solutions. Participate in capacity planning, routing policy decisions, and traffic engineering. Operations & Incident Management Coordinate incident response, root cause analysis, and remediation for transport-related issues. Develop and enforce operational best practices and SLAs for client services. Ensure 24×7 operational readiness with well-defined on-call procedures and escalation paths. Cross-Functional Collaboration Interface with sales, product, and customer support teams to ensure technical alignment with client needs. Act as a technical liaison for escalated customer transport issues.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 7+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role. Strong expertise in transport technologies such as, MPLS, Carrier Ethernet, and optical networking. Experience with equipment and platforms from major vendors (e.g., Palo Alto Full Stack, Fortinet Fortimanager, & Meraki
LAN/WIFI
). Proven experience in managing high-performing technical teams and driving operational excellence. Excellent communication, project management, and cross-team collaboration skills.
