This position provides the strategic direction and leadershipfor the IT Business Office function within GSOC Shared Services ITwhich supports GSOC, GTC, OPC, and GEMC, ensuring customersatisfaction with the services provided. The IT Business Officeserves as a central strategic resource for all IT departments andIT leaders supporting the internal IT capabilities necessary tomake the IT function successful. These elements include ownershipof the IT operating model, IT project management office, internalIT processes and related documentation, IT budgeting and planning,IT standards, work management, vendor management, relationshipmanagement, internal controls and compliance, and talent/trainingmanagement. This position works closely with the CIO on thedevelopment of IT strategy and governance. This position must workclosely with leadership across GSOC, GTC, OPC, and GEMC to ensurethat IT planning is in alignment with the direction of SharedServices IT’s business stakeholders. Ensures staff compliance withall applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, corporatepolicies, guidelines and procedures, including but not limited to,SOX, RUS, OSHA, NERC, FERC and ITS requirements. Promotes anenvironment of compliance and continuous improvement to meet theCorporation’s goals and objectives.

Job Duties:

Provides directionand leadership in the performance of Shared Services IT’s ITBusiness Office function which provides centralized supportservices for the entire IT team and IT leadership. Manages the ITProject Management Office. Drives focus and prioritization withinthe IT team supporting ever improving IT performance andcollaborates on the development and implementation of IT strategyand governance. Seeks to understand the customer’s business andtheir strategic initiatives; anticipated their requirements.

Provides the direction related to the IT Business Office requiredto meet business objectives. Provide strategic direction inplanning and delivering all IT Business Office initiatives. Employsvision to identify areas where the department can best support thecorporation’s and customers’ business objectives. Ensures thedepartment’s ability to manage change based on evolving businessneeds. Inspires others to achieve individual, department, andcorporate objectives. Works with senior and executive managementacross OPC, GTC, and GSOC to understand how Shared Services IT canhelp the business achieve their goals. Develops and managesdepartment plans and budgets. Responsible for the overalldevelopment of the Shared Services IT department expense andcapital budget. Responsible for the growth and development of thestaff and team culture within the IT Business Office group. Ensuresthat staff within the IT Infrastructure and Security team havestrong goals, plans, growth, and accountability. Provides feedbackto associates regarding their work, skills, and development.

Ensures that the department develops and maintains a culture ofservice that is responsive to business needs and changes inpriorities. Represents the Corporation’s interests in IT issuesboth internal and external to the Corporation, including issues andnegotiations involving

functional departments,Members, contractors, vendors, and other utilities. Creates,implements, and maintains an environment of compliance,transparency, accountability, communication, collaboration,service, and continuous improvement across the corporation as itrelates to IT. Provides strategic support and assistance toExecutive Management as requested. Provides leadership and supportduring activation of Major Incidents, Disaster Recovery, BusinessContinuity, and the Security Incident Response and Recovery Plans.

Required Qualifications:
Education :

Bachelor’s degree in ComputerScience, Business Administration, IT, Engineering, or relatedfield.

Experience :

12 years in the area of IT, Cybersecurity,Information Assurance, Cloud Services, Software Engineering,Application Support, Technology, at least 5 years of which in amanagement or leadership role.

Equivalent Experience :

Associate’sdegree in Computer Science, Business Administration, IT,Engineering, or related field with at least 18 years of experiencewith IT Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, CloudServices, IT, Technology, at least 10 years of which in amanagement or leadership role.

Specialized Skills :

Strong verbaland written communication skills. Proven ability to quickly adaptand lead cross-functional/organizational change with confidence.

Demonstrated ability to make decisions using a risk framework withincomplete information and a bias toward action. Excellent problemsolver coupled with a proven ability to lead groups involved infast paced, high-pressure environments.

Unusual Hours:

Provides emergency coverage for technology issues. Responsive toafter hours calls, texts, messages, emails, etc. relating totechnology and business emergencies.
