This position provides the strategic direction and leadershipfor the IT Infrastructure and Security function within GSOC SharedServices IT which supports GSOC, GTC, OPC, and GEMC, ensuringcustomer satisfaction with the services provided. Drives thestrategic planning, execution, and management of our ITinfrastructure and ensures the overall cybersecurity of thecorporate network. The IT infrastructure area is inclusive ofdesktop, server, database, cloud, Microsoft 365, audio visual,digital signage, and related technology. This position worksclosely with the IT service desk to ensure that day to day supportof this infrastructure meets customer expectations. This area isalso responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining acomprehensive security strategy that is consistent with recognizedindustry frameworks, such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF)and commensurate with risk to the organization. Works acrossbusiness areas to develop and implement a technology plan thatsupports the goals and vision of the business who depend on SharedServices IT for technology support. Ensures staff compliance withall applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, corporatepolicies, guidelines and procedures, including but not limited to,SOX, RUS, OSHA, NERC, FERC and ITS requirements. Promotes anenvironment of compliance and continuous improvement to meet theCorporation’s goals and objectives.
Job Duties:
Provides directionand leadership in the performance of Shared Services IT’sInfrastructure and Security area which includes monitoring industrytrends and research & development as well as developing andimplementing policies, systems, standards, and work processes.
Drives the organization’s cloud strategy. Seeks to understand thecustomer’s business and their strategic initiatives; anticipatedtheir requirements. Provides the direction related to ITInfrastructure and Security required to meet business objectives.
Provide strategic direction in planning and delivering all ITInfrastructure and Security initiatives. Employs vision to identifyareas where the department can best support the corporation’s andcustomers’ business objectives. Ensures the department’s ability tomanage change based on evolving business needs. Inspires others toachieve individual, department, and corporate objectives. Workswith senior and executive management across OPC, GTC, and GSOC tounderstand how IT Infrastructure and Security can help the businessachieve their goals. Develops and manages department plans andbudgets. Responsible for the growth and development of the staffand team culture within the IT Infrastructure and Security group.
Ensures that staff within the IT Infrastructure and Security teamhave strong goals, plans, growth, and accountability. Providesfeedback to associates regarding their work, skills, anddevelopment. Ensures that the department develops and maintains aculture of service that is responsive to business needs and changesin priorities. Represents the Corporation’s interests in ITInfrastructure and Security issues both internal and external tothe Corporation, including issues and negotiations involving

functional departments, Members, contractors, vendors,and other utilities. Creates, implements, and maintains anenvironment of compliance, transparency, accountability,communication, collaboration, service, and continuous improvementacross the corporation as it relates to IT Infrastructure andSecurity. Provides strategic support and assistance to ExecutiveManagement as requested. Provides leadership and support duringactivation of Major Incidents, Disaster Recovery, BusinessContinuity, and the Security Incident Response and Recovery Plans.
Required Qualifications:
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in ComputerScience, Business Administration, IT, Engineering, or relatedfield.
Experience :
12 years in the area of IT Infrastructure,Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Cloud Services, IT,Technology, at least 5 years of which in a management or leadershiprole.
Equivalent Experience :
Associate’s degree in ComputerScience, Business Administration, IT, Engineering, or related fieldwith at least 18 years of experience with IT Infrastructure,Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Cloud Services, IT,Technology, at least 10 years of which in a management orleadership role.
Specialized Skills :
Strong verbal and writtencommunication skills. Proven ability to quickly adapt and leadcross-functional/organizational change with confidence.
Demonstrated ability to make decisions using a risk framework withincomplete information and a bias toward action. Excellent problemsolver coupled with a proven ability to lead groups involved infast paced, high-pressure environments.

Unusual Hours:
Provides emergency coverage for technology issues. Responsive toafter hours calls, texts, messages, emails, etc. relating totechnology and business emergencies.
