Coordinate personnel response during outages or service-impacting events. Serve as an escalation point for all NOC-related issues. Collaborate with internal departments to resolve cross-functional challenges. Create, update, and monitor operational, performance, and global reports. Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency within the NOC. Maintain and enforce standard operating procedures. Partner with Planning and Engineering to establish and document network standards and operational procedures. Evaluate and support the development of new technologies and product offerings. Train, mentor, and develop staff through one-on-ones, coaching, and individualized career planning. Set and review quarterly performance objectives with team members. Manage vendor relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for hardware, termination, and network vendors. Recommend training and tools to improve team capabilities and performance. Administer network systems, including SolarWinds and Hammer. Perform TDM and VoIP trunk turn-ups and circuit activations. Provision and activate services on Powernet’s network. Support Voice Network operations by configuring Adtrans, Edgemarcs, and other CPE for customer installations.

Requirements:

Education and Experience Requirements Minimum of 5 years experience with working with end users and their problems. Experience working with MS Word, Excel, Notepad, and good basic overall computer skills. Minimum of 5 years in Telephony switches and Networks. Minimum of 3 years experience with Router maintenance and routing protocols. Associates Degree in Telecommunications related area, equivalent certifications or experience. Advanced understanding of telephone. Advanced troubleshooting and experience with carriers, vendors and customers. Solid understanding of IP networking.
