The mainpurpose of the position is to ensure the IT systems, operationalpractices, and people are jointly effective and functioning tosupport the businesses improvement goals. The position directs theimplementation and management of existing and new informationtechnology solutions in order to shape the technical roadmap of theorganization.

Essential Duties and Accountabilities Elaborate and deliver innovative solutions providing value tothe business and aligning with company goals Lead regional (USA, Canada, Mexico, and Latin America) ITstrategy and execution in accordance with global IT strategy Drive continuous improvement initiatives; apply 5 Why and PDCAmethodologies for incidents and improvements Develop and manage IT governance including standard policies,procedures, and controls to ensure reliable and affordableoperation of JTEKT infrastructure and technology landscape Mentor and educate IT management Lead a team of IT general manager/managers and contributors of40+ individuals Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effectivesolutions and efficient resource allocation Analyze business requirements of all departments to determinetechnology needs and ensure efficient and cost-effectivesolutions Analyze and define outsourcing plan to deliver effectivesolutions (cost and outcomes) Manage high availability data center with established disasterrecovery plans and periodic testing Establish and manage (monthly or more frequently) metrics tomeasure operational efficiency List major advancements that provide transparency of targetsand progress to senior management Provide leadership on methods, tools, and approaches for JTEKTNorth America Evaluate and confirm feasibility of new and emergingtechnologies Apply and enforce Information Security best practices to theoverall organization Drive a culture of support to the Manufacturing operations andfunctional departmentsSupervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position hasmultiple direct reports (manager and general manager levels) andleads a staff of 45+ experienced and highly skilledprofessionals.

Job Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesJob Knowledge Experience in the analysis, evaluation, and implementation ofIT systems including ERP platforms Experience in managing multiple, complex projects Experience in leading continuous improvement and using leantools (5 Whys, PDCA) Experience overseeing functions related to networks, businesssystems, compliance, service desks, website development, andinfrastructure (wireless, mobile & telecom systems) Ability to apply and enforce Information Security bestpractices to the overall organizationSkills Excellent organization and leadership skills; expert at leadingcross-functional teams Ability to work with and influence Senior Executive levels Result-oriented, strong oral and written communicationskills Ability to clearly communicate complex technologymattersEducation and Experience 15+ years of progressive IT leadership experience ininformation and technology leadership Experience in managing complex ERP implementation includingmanufacturing Experience in managing outsourcing and/or cloud servicecontracts Experience in large scale infrastructure system project BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Technology, InformationSecurity, or related field MBA preferredWork Environment/Physical Demands Work is mostly performed in a normal office setting withminimal exposure to health or safety hazards, and with substantialtime spent working on a computer. Requires sufficient hand, arm,and finger dexterity to operate computer keyboard and other officeequipment. Travel by automobile and plane required approximately 10-30% oftime. The performance of this position may occasionally requireexposure to manufacturing areas which require the use of personalprotective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields andmandatory hearing protection.
