IndyConn 579 Fenn Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201 Independent Connections is seeking a Tier 3 IT Operations Manager to work on-site in the Pittsfield, MA, area. The Tier 3 IT Operational Manager will oversee and manage a team of highly skilled engineers, acting as the highest level of technical support at Indy. They will need to handle complex issues that cannot be resolved by lower tiers, requiring specialized knowledge and expertise. This role involves managing escalations, leading and coordinating investigations into outages, and working to improve the overall operational efficiency of the IT infrastructure team. Essential Functions

• Managing a team of engineers, tracking goals and growth, and ensuring that team obligations are met.
• Overseeing day-to-day operations and handling escalations for complex issues, including outages.
• Investigating network outages and other incidents to determine root causes and implement preventative measures.
• Working to improve operational efficiency, identify and address recurring issues, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Working with other departments to diagnose and resolve issues, and providing updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure collaboration to Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams to improve their skills and knowledge depth. Requirements

Technical Proficiency:

Deep knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and associated technologies is essential, including hardware, software, and networking.

Problem Solving and Analytical Skills:

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues is crucial.

Leadership and Team Management:

Strong leadership skills are necessary to manage and mentor a team of engineers and oversee day-to-day operations.

Knowledge of tools like DATTO, SolarWinds, and Tiger Connect will enhance efficiency in handling incidents. Technical Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of technical leadership running teams in complex environments
• Proficient technical understanding of networked computing systems, virtualized workloads and hybrid environments
• 4 year degree a plus but not required.
