IT Manager Position Available In Durham, North Carolina

Description We are looking for a skilled IT Manager to oversee the design, implementation, and governance of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments. This role focuses on ensuring secure infrastructure, effective collaboration tools, and robust threat prevention. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position based in Durham, North Carolina.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage secure Microsoft Azure infrastructure, including virtual networks, Azure Firewall, and other security tools.
• Administer Microsoft 365 platforms such as Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams, ensuring compliance with security policies and seamless collaboration.
• Configure and oversee Microsoft Defender solutions to strengthen threat detection and response capabilities.
• Deploy and manage Microsoft Purview for data loss prevention, insider risk management, and sensitivity labeling.
• Architect Zero Trust Network Access solutions to enable secure, identity-based access to applications.
• Lead the response to security incidents, perform root cause analyses, and coordinate effective remediation strategies.
• Support vulnerability management through patch deployment, endpoint protection, and system hardening.
• Manage identity governance, including access control, provisioning, and periodic access certifications using Microsoft Entra ID. Requirements
• Proficiency in cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory and identity management solutions.
• Experience with configuration management and system auditing.
• Familiarity with backup technologies and endpoint protection.
• Ability to manage computer hardware and software systems effectively.
• Expertise in Zero Trust security frameworks and network access solutions.
• Solid understanding of vulnerability management and incident response processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
