The City of Charlotte and the department of Information Technology is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) Supervisor to lead and support our UEM team. This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of endpoint management, ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of all managed devices across the organization. The UEM Supervisor will play a crucial role in team leadership, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration while reporting directly to the area IT Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in endpoint management, security patching, compliance policies, and enterprise device configuration, coupled with excellent leadership and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Supervision Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the UEM team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Manage daily team operations, including task assignments, workload balancing, and performance monitoring. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and team check-ins to provide coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities. Ensure cross-training initiatives are successfully implemented so all team members gain proficiency across key UEM service areas. Unified Endpoint Management Operations Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of UEM solutions, including endpoint security, compliance policies, and device management. Ensure timely and effective deployment of desktop security patching, Windows updates, and server patching. Manage device configuration, software deployments, and application packaging, including Click-to-Run applications. Oversee print management, mobile device management, and endpoint security enforcement. Support enterprise collaboration tools such as WebEx and other conference room technologies. Process Improvement & Strategy Evaluate and enhance existing UEM processes to improve efficiency, security, and user experience. Ensure alignment with industry best practices and compliance standards for endpoint security and device management. Collaborate with IT leadership to define and execute UEM strategy, aligning with organizational goals. Collaboration & Customer Service Serve as the primary escalation point for UEM-related issues, ensuring prompt and effective resolution. Work closely with other IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to enhance service delivery and user experience. Maintain a customer-focused mindset, ensuring end-user satisfaction and clear communication of IT solutions.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in Unified Endpoint Management, IT operations, or related fields. 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in an IT environment.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in UEM solutions such as Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), SCCM, VMware Workspace ONE, or similar platforms. Experience transitioning workloads for endpoints from

SCCM/WSUS

to Intune is a plus. Experience managing and configuring devices in Intune Azure/AWS experience Experience implementing/using automation related to endpoint testing and device management/configuration. Strong experience in Windows and security patching, GPO replacement, and compliance policies. Expertise in desktop and mobile device management, software deployment, and print management. Experience implementing Desktop as a Service is a plus. Knowledge of server patching, endpoint security, and conference room technology (e.g., WebEx). Experience with PowerShell scripting, automation, and ITIL processes is a plus.
