• Pressed Café Pressed Cafe is a fast-growing, fast-casual restaurant brand known for scratch-made food, innovative service, and a vibrant guest experience.

As we prepare to double our restaurant footprint in the coming years, we are seeking a strategic, technically skilled, and hospitality-savvy Director of Technology to lead our technology vision and execution. This role is designed for a seasoned IT leader with deep expertise in restaurant and hospitality technologies, capable of driving enterprise-wide improvements across front-of-house, back-of-house, and guest-facing systems. From point-of-sale to digital ordering, loyalty to labor management, this individual will oversee a fully integrated technology ecosystem that supports operational excellence, guest satisfaction, and scalable growth. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive IT roadmap that aligns with business strategy, enhancing both back-of-house operations and guest-facing digital experiences.
• Lead the selection, implementation, and optimization of restaurant-specific technologies including:
• POS Systems (currently NCR/Aloha)
• Kitchen Display Systems (KDS)
• Drive-Thru Communication Tools
• Mobile and Kiosk Ordering
• Loyalty and CRM platforms
• Third-party delivery integrations (e.g., Olo, DoorDash Drive)
• Oversee day-to-day system performance, security, uptime, and troubleshooting to ensure seamless store operations.
• Drive the integration of enterprise tools including HRIS, LMS, payroll, scheduling (e.g., HotSchedules), communications, and inventory management systems (e.g., Restaurant365).
• Manage IT vendors, contracts, renewals, and software licensing agreements with an eye toward cost-efficiency and performance.
• Champion data security, implement cybersecurity protocols, and ensure PCI compliance and privacy standards across systems.
• Collaborate closely with leaders in Operations, Marketing, HR, and Finance to identify and deploy tech-enabled business improvements.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry innovations to identify opportunities for competitive advantage.
• Build internal documentation, training protocols, and support structures to ensure tech adoption and usage are consistent across locations. What We’re Looking For
• 5+ years of IT leadership experience in a multi-unit restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• Demonstrated success managing enterprise rollouts of restaurant technology systems (POS, KDS, ordering, loyalty, scheduling, etc.).
• Deep technical knowledge of NCR/Aloha, Olo, HotSchedules, Restaurant365, or comparable systems.
• Proven ability to manage system integrations, troubleshoot live environment issues, and provide timely support across multiple locations.
• Strong project management, budgeting, and vendor negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Hands-on, solutions-oriented leader with the agility to operate in a fast-paced, guest-first environment.
