Director with management responsibility for the System Design and Project Engineering department.
Reports to the Senior Director of System Design and Product Management.
Leads team of Engineers who prepare Technical Solution in response to Customers Requests (RFQs, ITTs, BEs).
Interfaces with customers to gather system requirements, and coordinate internal activities leading to development of the overall Technical Solution.
Supervises development of technical documetation in support of a new system bid to be captured in the contract as well as driving implementation of a contracted project.
Provide suport required for the Sales and Project Management Organizations, such as presentations to customers on SubCom technology and products.
Interface externally with technical customer representatives, and internally with R D Organization, System Design and Implementation, and Customer Solutions Partners.
Qualifications
M.S. Degree in Engineering or closely related field required.
Experience with long haul terrestrial or submarine optical fibermunication systems.
At least 10 years experience in R D of opticalmunication systems.
Strong written and verbalmunication skills are preferred.
