Manager, IT Data Position Available In New York, New York

Duties:

Function as a Programming Manager working with back-end systems, including portfolio accounting systems, order management systems, financial analysis and reporting systems, sales data packs, marketing data including website, social media, and other disparate sources of data including structured and unstructured data. Develop and maintain financial data to support financial systems. Manage team of 2 onshore resources and approximately 5 offshore resources. Define, analyze, and deliver effective business intelligence solutions in partnership with the business community with data acquisition and visualization. Aid in unlocking valuable insights into our customer’s behaviors and client engagement for upselling and cross selling opportunities. Define document and promote best practices in terms of dashboard and report development as well as metric standardization across different solutions. Business requirements analysis, dashboard/ visualization/ report design, data management, system integration testing, UAT coordination, end user training and overall day to day issues/ support management and system monitoring. Build data warehouse solutions to help the sales, marketing, and product management teams. Build data applications to support back-end business operations and ETL. Create data strategy for improving operational efficiency. Work towards better business exception management and reporting. Provide automation solutions to business teams to reduce and improve their day-to-day manual workload.

Requirements:

Requires Master’s degree in Strategic Analytics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field of study, and 5 years of experience in any job title/occupation/position involving web software and SQL development as well as dealing with financial and market data, and all asset classes including equities, fixed income and commodities. Experience specified must include 5 years of experience with each of the following: financial systems and trading systems; computer programming in C#, .Net, Transact SQL Server, Python Flask framework, Microsoft Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps and PowerBI; SQL reporting or other reporting package; working with workflow management, orchestration tools and visualization tools; data structure and algorithms; web-based client side and server-side technologies including ASP.net, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, Python, XML and SOA; extracting, storing, integrating (ETL) and reporting of the data and building data warehouse solutions. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days a week.
