IT Systems and Business Operations Manager Archtop Fiber 300 Enterprise Drive, Kingston, NY 12401

  • THIS IS A HYBRID ROLE. THE INCUMBENT WILL BE EXPECTED TO BE IN OUR CORPORATE HQ IN KINGSTON NY ONE WEEK PER MONTH

The Manager, OSS/BSS Operations is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our operational and business support systems while ensuring seamless service delivery to our fiber broadband customers. The Manager, OSS/BSS Operations will interface directly with stakeholders and vendors to Identify and resolving technical issues within the OSS/BSS infrastructure. It is envisioned that this position will initially operate as an individual contributor, but it is expected will be responsible for hiring and managing additional team members to support the function as needs arise.

What you will do:
  • Lead and mentor a team of system administrators and technical analysts specializing in supporting end-users of all OSS/BSS technologies.
  • Document processes, methods, and procedures for all OSS/BSS platforms, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the entire user base.
  • Evaluate, implement and operationalize emerging changes and enhancements to the OSS/BSS Stack.
  • Oversee system configuration strategies for field operations, network operations, marketing, customer service, and finance.
  • Support process and integration projects with scheduled training, UAT, and work plan documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with telecommunications industry standards and fiber broadband service requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, provisioning workflow procedures, and TMF service delivery standards.
  • Collaborate with project management and internal stakeholders for platform enhancements to support improving business processes and enhanced customer experience.
  • Provide regular system bug tracking and status updates to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, risks and recommendations for improvement.
What you will bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 1-5 years’ experience of system management or related experience.
  • Knowledge of telecommunications protocols and standards
  • Basic understanding of telecommunications OSS/BSS systems.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and reporting.
  • Experience working with external software vendors.
  • Ability to manage multiple systems simultaneously while maintaining operability.
  • Ability to collaborate professionally and efficiently within all levels across the entire enterprise.
  • Ability to maintain vendor relationships and drive vendors to execute work in a timely manner.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively in a small team environment.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into system configuration changes.
  • 3+ years’ experience in the telecommunications industry and/or in utility OSS/BSS environment preferred.
  • Experience with billing system migrations preferred.
