Job Summary:

The IT Manager will oversee all technology operations within the manufacturing facility, including infrastructure, network security, and systems management. This role ensures all IT resources align with the company’s production goals and operational efficiency while adhering to industry standards and best practices. The IT Manager will also manage a team responsible for day-to-day technical support and work closely with other departments to implement strategic initiatives, enhance systems, and support production lines.

Key Responsibilities:

Culture Curator:

Educate and encourage team members in problem-solving and continuous improvement. Empower the team to make improvements and be engaged in drumbeat meetings. 2. Infrastructure Management Oversee and manage the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, software, and hardware within the manufacturing environment. Maintain and improve network security, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. Working knowledge of disaster recovery and backup tools. 3.

System and Application Support:

Ensure the effective functioning and availability of ERP/MRP systems critical to production and supply chain management. Collaborate with production and operations teams to implement IT solutions that support manufacturing efficiency and quality control. Manage Office 365 and Windows servers in a virtualized environment. 4.

Cybersecurity and Compliance:

Develop and enforce IT security policies and procedures to protect sensitive manufacturing and corporate data. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including ISO, IATF and other quality standards specific to the manufacturing sector. 5.

Team Management and Development:

Lead, mentor, and manage the IT team to provide effective support to all manufacturing technology operations. Facilitate ongoing training to keep the team up-to-date with the latest technology trends and industry standards. Inspire oneself and others to reach a goal and perform to the best of their ability, making the culture of continuous improvement a guidepost in system performance and enhancement. 6.

Budget and Vendor Management:

Develop and manage the IT budget, prioritizing investments that drive manufacturing efficiencies. Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring that all services and contracts support the company’s goals and standards. 7.

Project Management:

Lead and participate in IT projects aimed at improving manufacturing performance, such as system upgrades, software implementations, and automation initiatives. Develop project plans, set timelines, allocate resources, and monitor project progress to ensure timely completion within budget.

Qualifications:
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

Experience:

Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT management, preferably in a manufacturing or production setting.

Technical Skills:

Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (IQMS/Delmiaworks prefered, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP/MRP experience considered), network security, cloud solutions, and virtualization.

Certifications:

ITIL, PMP, CISSP, or other relevant certifications are a plus.

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving skills, leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills to work cross-functionally across departments.

Working Conditions:

Long periods of sitting and reaching and/or standing associated with standard IT work are expected. Manufacturing facility environment with occasional travel to other sites as needed. Hands on experience with hardware and wiring installation. May require occasional evening or weekend work for system maintenance or to resolve critical issues.
