8 Hours/230 Days Central Services Administrator Salary Schedule A The terms of employment detailed in this job description are based on full time employment during the school year. Conditions of employment adjusted for part time employees or individuals who are hired for less than an entire school year.

GENERAL SUMMARY

Under general supervision, oversees all technology-related aspects of the District and executes a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with District goals and growth plans. Provides leadership in supporting, promoting, and assessing progress toward a high-quality and challenging educational experience for each student. Systematizes a process for continuous improvement with information technology resources within the district and accelerates digital innovation. Leads technology staff to ensure that resources and services are developed and delivered efficiently. Oversees the development and implementation of scalable and secure technology systems, software solutions and infrastructure. Assists in ensuring the district Mission, Vision, and System Commitments are achieved. Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations regarding information technology.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Supports and upholds the mission, vision and strategic goals of Lexington County School District One towards increased outcomes for students. Interacts, communicates and collaborates with all stakeholders effectively. Establishes a safe, supportive, positive and productive working and learning environment. Operates general office and technology equipment needed for daily activities. Maintains confidentiality regarding all employee and student information. Participates in all professional meetings and training sessions as required. Requests and maintains materials needed for daily responsibilities and essential functions; provides for safe storage and proper use of all tools, equipment and materials. Provides leadership, coordination, development, implementation and evaluation of the district’s technology programs and resources. Creates communication, collaboration and coordination processes that assure all staff are informed of district policies, issues, and guidance that their programs are expected to support. Knows the current goals of the school district and align technology team’s work with those goals. Understands the relationship among curriculum, instruction and technology in providing a teaching and learning environment. Develops and implements strategies to ensure equitable access to appropriate digital tools and resources to meet the needs of all learners. Provides direction and assistance to technology staff, administrators and teachers in planning instruction that promotes information literacy and integrates meaningful and effective uses of technology into the daily work of teachers and students. Works with key system leaders, people networks and departments to understand their technology needs and identify steps needed to meet strategic goals. Collaborates across divisions to provide professional learning opportunities for staff related to the appropriate aspects of the district educational technologies and information systems. Collaborates with district and school staff to establish procedures and guidelines for administrative and instructional use of the district information systems. Promotes and leads the implementation of industry best practice methodologies, tools and programs in support of technology. Establishes and maintains relationships with technology vendors and partners, evaluating and selecting the most suitable solutions and services that align with District goals Utilizes knowledge of funding sources available to the district to develop a financial plan related to long-range development and utilization of the district information system, and appropriately leverages this plan to meet district and programmatic goals while ensuring cost-effective solutions. Enhances the best practices of network services and application services. Identifies and evaluates the latest technologies, assessing their potential for strategic advantage Recommends appropriate hardware, software, and other systems necessary for a rich learning environment and an effective and efficient technology staff. Coordinates and participates in the phasing-in of all new applications and evaluates/modifies all systems and procedures required. Utilizes data-driven decision making and related processes in support of stakeholders. Reviews district policies pertaining to information technology and provides suggestions and draft revisions to district leadership. Represents the district at various local, state, and national professional meetings as requested. Maintains district compliance with federal and state regulations, program guidelines, and other legal requirements. Liaisons with local/state/national resources and ensures compliance for all necessary reporting. Uses personal technology devices and software applications for the management of pertinent information and communication. Identifies and mitigates technology-related risks, ensuring data privacy and security regulations compliance. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

Responsible for information technology materials and supplies budget(s) as assigned. Supervises certified and classified staff members as assigned. OTHER SKILLS and

ABILITIES

Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Lexington County School District One Board policies. Personal computer experience required. Strong knowledge of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets, electronic file management, the internet, and reporting and presentation software. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and the school community. Ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication. Ability to apply knowledge and current research and theory. Ability to organize and implement a flexible work schedule in order to meet reporting deadlines. Ability to self-monitor and manage multiple tasks while working individually and with members of a group. Ability to submit all requested reports and documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with scheduled deadlines. Some extended hours and multiple demands from several people are frequently required of the employee. Computer literacy required. Demonstrated success in managing IT infrastructure, IT budgets, software development and systems architecture. Deep understanding of technology trends, best practices and the market’s technology landscape. Extensive knowledge of software development methodologies, infrastructure management and cybersecurity best practices. Experience driving digital transformation initiatives, leveraging cloud technologies and implementing data-driven decision-making. Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate business objectives into effective technology strategies. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior level leaders. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing technology teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data and insights for informed decision-making.
