Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled IT Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our IT infrastructure, providing technical support to employees, and ensuring the smooth operation of our technology systems. Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations. Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and applications. Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and availability of IT infrastructure. Manage user accounts, permissions, email, anti-virus, anti-spam and provide technical support to end-users. Manage the network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, and setting up a WAN link or VPN tunnel between sites Build and maintain an internal Active Directory server and file server Support ERP and PLC automation efforts Handle endpoint management, cybersecurity, backups, and disaster recovery Maintain and update GatorStep website and internal systems Drive future IT strategy to help Gator Step scale Update, maintain, and troubleshoot Gatorstep’s website and e-commerce functionalities. Support and maintain internal programs and software critical to daily operations. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to implement IT projects and upgrades. Ensure security of data, network access, and backup systems. Perform other IT-related tasks and special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Proven experience as an IT Specialist or similar role. Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols. Experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, and cloud services. Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA). Experience in a manufacturing or marine industry environment.
