As a member of Global Business IT Lead Team, you will be responsible for driving business and IT alignment and ensuring the IT needs of the business are met or exceeded in a professional and consistent manner. You will work with your business partners to identify value creation opportunities and deliver solutions governed by

Commercial Excellence
Business Operations
Manufacturing Operations – Ticonderoga Mill
Manufacturing Operations – Eastover Mill and the Sumter sheeting plant.
Key actions, outputs, deliverables, product and/or services:
Proactive engagement with business and IT colleagues to improve all aspects business and IT operations and enable the business to provide superior service to our customers and gain and retain a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
Lead the organization to collaborate proactively with business and IT colleagues to:
Understand business strategies, priorities, direction, challenges, and opportunities.
Enable our business partners to provide superior service to our customers, and gain and retain a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
Proactively and suggestively “sell” and deliver IT improvement ideas, to help facilitate the attainment of the business strategy, overcome business challenges, and capitalize upon business opportunities.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Leading a diverse team of over 20 IT professionals including 4 direct reports who collaborate with business and IT colleagues to maintain and support key business applications and deliver new and/or enhanced IT solutions and services to our business partners.
Establishing the vision, mission, and strategy for the team.
Building valued relationships with business partners, identifying and structuring solutions to ensure alignment with their requirements.
Proactively anticipating customer needs and developing a team focused on providing high quality support and project delivery that honors timeline and budget commitments.
Ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of a complex portfolio of projects.
Ensuring alignment with the global business processes organization.
Ensuring the completion of all managerial aspects of executing the HR processes for the North American Papers IT organization (recruiting, performance management, compensation management, work force and succession planning, and people development and overall bench strength of the organization).
Developing and managing a consolidated plan and budget of approximately $4-$6 million to meet the organization sustain needs and customer demand.
Supporting strategic and operational governance processes of the organization.
Leading by example and inspiring others on safety, innovation, diversity and inclusion, collaboration, sustainability, and global citizenship.
Ensuring the appropriate balance between meeting the value-added demand of our business partners, achieving the IT strategy, and maintaining a low cost to serve.
Ensuring the development and achievement of IT strategic plan for the areas within the scope of direct accountability, and has input into, and influence upon the overall strategy for all of IT.
Ensuring the decisions made within the organization align with the strategic vision of IT, the region and Sylvamo.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Proven ability to recruit, retain, develop, and motivate managers and individual contributors.
Proven ability to lead multiple teams and positively influence other teams not in the direct span of control.
Ability to lead and inspire others’ passion for innovation and change.
Experience leading diverse and geographically dispersed/remote teams, and/or team members.
Strong IT process, technical and operational as well as business process knowledge, experience.
Ability to understand extremely complex technologies and explain their application/relevance in business terms.
Ability to interact effectively with various IT groups, business partners and their leaders and teams.
Strong interpersonal and political savvy, leadership, organizational, communication and presentation skills.
Strong understanding of a variety of project management and delivery concepts and methodologies (waterfall, agile, iterative, etc.).
