SALARY:
The salary range for this position is $103,395.99 to $160,053.17. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater.

The New Jersey Judiciary is widely recognized for cutting-edge innovation in the application of technology to transform the administration of justice and enhance the delivery of services to judges, attorneys, law enforcement, and the public. We are seeking an experienced IT professional to join our Information Technology Office. As a technical Project Manager and a key member of our management team, the selected candidate will work collaboratively with internal and external partners across all organizational areas to establish governance, develop policies, and ensure that adequate procedures and resources are in place to effectively design, develop, implement, and support a statewide portfolio of critical business applications. Strong leadership, communication skills, problem-solving, and technical skills are required to both manage existing case management applications and guide new technology re-engineering projects.
The technology environment that supports all business applications and services for the NJ Courts is rapidly shifting to cloud technologies. Our application development environment is a combination of PEGA Business Process Management, AWS and Azure cloud environments, and JAVA software development platforms while concurrently maintaining stable legacy Case Management Systems in Cobol/CICS/DB2. Agile methodology is used for the rapid development of project/products. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong analytical ability and a solid working knowledge of the fundamental technologies that underlie our development, methodology and technical environments and offer excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills. Project management certification (e.g., PMI/PMP) is desirable.
REMOTE WORK
The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 3 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.

Driver’s License:
Appointee will be required to possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.

Residency Law:
In accordance with
N.J.S.A. 52
14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70), the “New Jersey First Act,” all persons newly hired by the Judiciary within one year must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey. Any person may request an exemption from that requirement from the Employee Residency Review Committee in the Department of Labor & Workforce Development on the basis of either hardship or employer critical need.
