Job Description
Plan, initiate, and manage information technology (IT) projects. Lead and guide the work of technical staff. Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects. Plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage. Monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met. Exercise authority on matters related to hiring and firing of subordinate individuals. Provide leadership and direction to a team of senior professionals in the execution of project deliverables. Manage a team of professionals with responsibilities that include work allocation, supervision of the team and determination of resource requirements. Define expectation of deliverables from team members and enact procedures to ensure that they are executed to company standards. Plan, review, and approve the vacation / leave for the resources in a planned and organized manner so as to not impact the project timelines. Direct regular internal staff meetings to discuss various aspects of the activities, issues, and future tasks. Lead one-on-one meetings with the subordinates to address any work-related issues/ concerns or personnel issues. Define optimal staffing/resourcing requirements based on current projects and future business projections. Oversee the training and mentoring of the team; motivate them for effective growth of the practice. Train direct reports on project and delivery management. Conduct periodic performance appraisals, overseeing their career planning, and promotions for all direct/indirect reports. Exercise authority to hire and fire the direct reports, based on changes to business plans and individual performance. Lead the team to develop interview strategies and manage the shortlists of resources. Supervise the relationship reviews and contract reviews with clients and the executive team. Oversee exploration of market trends; identify new opportunities and drive them to action. Define and regulate the hiring strategies of technology experts for strategic technology focus areas. Identify solutions, competitive services, and opportunities for innovation. Oversee and define the presentation of short term and long-term practice roadmap around innovation, partnerships, solutions, frameworks, and relationships. Ensure timely budget approvals for investments in the area of new partnerships, training, solutions development, hiring etc. Define and communicate the overall strategy of BI/Analytics practice periodically to executive management. Spearhead critical deliveries, manage resources, opportunities, and risks for delivering flagship projects to Incedo. Manage the partnership and go-to market strategies with various product companies including Qlik, Microstrategy, and SAS. Coordinate with the Incedo Head of Alliances team in the U.S. to develop additional competencies based on a defined roadmap. Oversee that pre-sales support for new business opportunities in terms of client presentation, capability collaterals, and POC’s. Coordinate with the U.S. sales team in defining go-to-market strategy. Supervise relationships with key client executives and managers and working towards strengthening them. Direct projects under the purview of the practice to ensure they are operating within acceptable quality, budget, and time parameters. Ensure compliance with project standards and quality assurance procedures. Manage the overall Profit and Loss for BI/Analytics projects and achieve financial goals through building right team structures. Lead critical project reviews for mission critical and high dollar value implementations. Oversee profitable account growth (generating new business and sustaining current business), account mining, and improving proving profitability.
Duties entail work with Tableau, SQL, AWS and Qlik SenseRequires a Bachelors Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or related IT fields. Employer deems 3 years of undergraduate study plus 1 year of experience in the filed as equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree. Plus 2 years of experience in job offered or related occupations of Associate Director, Senior Consultant, Advance Analytics Consultant, Senior Manager, Assistant Manager, Business Analyst, Deputy Manager, Business Analytics, Marketing Analytics or related. Travel may be required.
