- Job Purpose
- We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Telematics Project Manager to join our Digital Platforms and Innovation team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Herc’s digital telematics technologies, ongoing projects and customer support efforts. This role involves maintaining, monitoring, evaluating, integrating, and updating various digital telematics components utilized at Herc Rentals.

Support SDLC:
Creation of project documentation, facilitate status reports to executive leadership and key stakeholders. +
Support Quality:
Provide post-production support and assist with onboarding and ongoing communication with new customers. +
Vendor Engagement:
Work with OEMs to support telematics software solutions +
Research Emergent Technologies:
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies that could enhance our telematics offerings
- Requirements
- + 5-10 years of experience working in an IT environment with telematics, requirements gathering and project management background preferred + Strong background in supporting telematics software and ioT solutions + Leading and managing team resources is a plus + Excellent communication skills and a good understanding of general business/functional knowledge + Understanding of digital platforms, software development life cycle (SDLC), and project management principles + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience with business intelligence tools is a plus + Able to document and articulate business requirements + Able to work in a structured IT environment and follow compliance and change control processes + Software QA processes and tools + Strong MS Office Skills (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Word) + Jira and Confluence + Microsoft Access and/or SQL experience strongly preferred + Ability to communicate technical ideas and concepts effectively, both orally and in writing •Education•+ Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
