POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Integration leads the planning, development, implementation, and management of electronic data exchange systems and processes across Healthcare Systems of America’s EHR infrastructure. This role ensures efficient and secure information exchange between departments and external partners while overseeing a team of analysts responsible for monitoring transactions and resolving any failures. The Director plays a critical role in developing new systems by analyzing requirements, producing mapping documents, testing systems, and establishing communication protocols.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and implement strategies for integrating Electronic Health Records (EHR), Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), Hospital Information Systems (HIS), and third-party applications Ensure seamless exchange of patient information using HL7, FHIR, and API-based integrations Oversee system implementation, migration, and upgrades while managing budgets, timelines, and stakeholder expectations Collaborate with IT, clinical teams, and administrative departments to optimize workflow efficiency Ensure all integrations meet security & compliance requirements by adhering to HIPAA, HITECH, and other regulatory standards to protect patient data Partner with third-party vendors and consultants to negotiate contracts, troubleshoot issues, and improve system functionality Monitor system integration metrics, identifying opportunities for workflow enhancements and user experience improvements

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Healthcare Informatics, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (Preferred) 7-10 years of experience in healthcare IT, system integration, or interoperability solutions (Preferred) 4+ years of supervisor experience (Preferred)
