Full Job Description TITLE:
PROJECT MANAGER

1. Bachelor’s degree, with such degree preferred in computer technology, information science or a technology related field; OR an equivalent combination of training with minimum of seven (7) years progressively responsible professional experience specific to the position’s assignment area; (Areas include, but are not necessarily limited to, intra

  • / internet services; applications or systems analysis, support and development; computer operations and support; networks, databases and servers administration; voice / data communications; broadcast operations; instructional and educational technology; data analyses, management and reporting; computer-aided management systems; help-desk administration; and security administration.

) 2. Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred and may be required (per specific industry regulatory standards). 3. Demonstrated expertise in Project Management industry standards and concepts including, but not limited to, risk, scope, schedule, communications, cost, resource / quality management (all phases). 4. May include practicum and/or written test component(s) for purposes of hiring and/or promotion within the career series. 5. Demonstrated leadership skills with evidence of having successfully lead large-scale projects and programs, and having provided leadership in areas specific to position’s management responsibilities. 6. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:

1. Provides project management and leadership to staff and external resources assigned to support the established goals and objectives of the functional assignment area in all PMI knowledge areas. 2. Actively supports the department’s service organization vision by effectively delivering best practices, knowledge, coaching and mentoring District-wide, thereby contributing to continual project successes. 3. Researches, develops and implements policies and procedures for functional area(s) under charge consistent with current standards for best practices as established by the department. 4. Manages compilation, analyses, interpretation and reporting on information / data utilized in identifying and addressing issues affecting accuracy, performance, productivity or other key metrics / indicators. 5. Exercises leadership, initiative and independent judgment in determining priorities and standards, including the methods and processes by which established goals and objectives are accomplished. 6. Establishes and maintains documentation systems applicable to the functional area according to policies, procedures and applicable regulatory standards and requirements. 7. Leads and/or provides direct support to change management initiatives in accordance with best practices as applied to the fields of technology, information services, and information systems. 8. Provides leadership in planning, implementation, maintenance and repair of functional, structural, programmatic, systematic, and other technology objectives of the department. 9. Performs personnel management duties, i.e., recommending hiring, discipline and promotion; authorization and approval of leave/overtime; performance evaluations. 10. Maintains administration accountability for budget planning and administration, including equipment requisitions and related purchasing functions relevant to area(s) under charge. 11. Maintains current knowledge of industry and regulatory trends and developments applicable to the assigned technical function for application to responsibilities under charge.

Performance Effectiveness Criteria:

In addition to the employee being responsible for each of the performance responsibilities listed herein, periodic and special reports to the Board and other entities will be provided regarding the impact of this position with respect to progress toward annually established District and Divisional goals and objectives for, but not necessarily limited to, the following areas: 1) Student Performance, 2) Customer Service, 3) Fiscal Accountability and Responsibility, 4) Process Efficiencies and Improvements, and 5) Employee Learning and Growth.

Advanced knowledge of IT Security solutions (e.g. IDS, SIEM, EDR, firewalls). Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) Experience with network protocols, malware analysis, and penetration testing Disaster Recovery (including working knowledge in a cloud environment) Preferred Understanding of Access Control & Identity Management

  • Managing SSO, MFA, and role-based access Risk Assessment & Decision-Making knowledge with identifying and mitigating security threats Communication Skills
  • Presenting security strategies to executives and non-technical teams Problem-Solving
  • Quickly addressing security incidents and vulnerabilities Understanding of compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA, CIPA, CJIS) Network/endpoint vulnerability management solutions and remediation.
