$78,000.00 – $92,000.00JOBDESCRIPTIONThe Technical Project Manager, who will report to theVice President, Enterprise Technology Business and Strategy, willoversee the planning, execution, and completion of technicalprojects related to the organization’s digital learning andcommunity engagement platform. This includes managing thedevelopment of a mobile app, deployment of generative AI-basedstudent success tools, and the establishment of a modern datainfrastructure (e.g. AWS-based Data Lake) integrated with keycampus systems (e.g. Student Information Systems). The TPM willlead the strategic planning process to ensure that all relevantrequirements are captured; assemble a team of resources (bothinternally and contractors) to assign tasks; monitor the assignedtasks and measure their progress along with any risks discovered toensure no omissions in requirements; and meet deliverableexpectations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Facilitation of information system-specific projects thatinvolve mobile application development, artificial intelligenceintegration, and infrastructure environment build-out. Delivery by service teams for technology-based outsourcedsolutions. Plans and coordinates infrastructure technical projects frominitiation through delivery. Ensures requirements for internal infrastructure technologyprojects align to operational standards. Plans and coordinates all aspects of technical projects for theHBCUv Network Services team from initiation through delivery. Manage digital project deadlines, timelines, and workflow. Serve as the information hub on all aspects of HBCUv projects,keeping team members updated as necessary. Manage day-to-day workflow and prioritize lists for digitaldevelopment and design team.

Project Planning:

Define project scopes, objectives, anddeliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring alignmentwith organizational goals.

Resource Management:

Allocate resources effectively, managingproject budgets and timelines to ensure successful delivery.

Risk Management:

Identify potential risks and developmitigation strategies to address challenges proactively.

Team Coordination:

Lead functional teams, facilitatingcommunication between developers, designers, and otherstakeholders.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure that all technical projects meetquality standards and comply with relevant regulations and bestpractices.

Stakeholder Communication:

Provide regular project updates tostakeholders, ensuring transparency, alignment throughout theproject lifecycle and timely completion of all projecttasks.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND

EXPERIENCEBachelor’sdegree in Computer Science, Information Technology, ProjectManagement, or a related field; PMP or similar certificationpreferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical projectmanagement, with a focus on educational technologyprojects.

Demonstrated experience managing the development of mobileapplications and AI-based tools.

Strong understanding of datainfrastructure and integration with campus systems.

Excellentorganizational and leadership skills, with the ability to managemultiple projects simultaneously.
