Master Data Manager Job Description The Master Data Manager plays a crucial role in driving business agility by overseeing Master Data Management activities, SAP enhancements, and sustaining utilization. This position will contribute significantly to the success of the organization by managing Master Data processes and supporting decision-making that impacts risk, revenue, value, and cost goals. Responsibilities Lead and oversee the Master Data Management organization and manage the team’s budget. Define clear roles and responsibilities for the Master Data teams in the maturity journey. Coordinate and manage day-to-day operations of Master Data, ensuring timely execution for end-to-end business processes. Streamline master data processes, including creation, updates, and data clean-up. Resolve Master Data issues and implement corrective actions. Maintain and improve Master Data quality and integrity. Analyze data for the business and create specifications based on business needs. Define and implement Master Data structure, standards, rules, and governance. Establish data owners and enhance data dictionaries across functions. Drive Master Data changes and lead communication efforts. Represent the Supply Chain Master Data Management group in corporate initiatives. Leverage and share best practices across the network. Develop a strategy for Master Data maturity and drive actions. Integrate and model Master Data across systems such as SAP S4 (MAPLE). Ensure compliance with
NFCM/SOX
controls related to Master Data. Lead and drive Master Data adoption. Develop a community of practice for Master Data. Document Master Data and SAP processes and ensure process adherence. Drive continuous improvement, coordinate, and implement enhancements. Provide end-user support and training. Essential Skills Proficiency in SAP and Master Data Management. Advanced skills in Excel and other MS applications. Expertise in Supply Chain and GMP. Bachelor’s degree. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Master Data Management. Strong process design and implementation skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Flexibility and adaptability. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in Supply Chain or Finance. Managerial experience, ideally 3-5 years. Experience in pharmaceutical or biologics operations. Knowledge of GMP. Experience using Experian (MDM system). Work Environment This position requires working 100% onsite from Monday to Friday during standard business hours, with flexibility on start times. The role provides an opportunity to define Master Data Management, interact with high-level roles across the organization, and bring best practices to the company. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.29 – $60.10/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
