Position Overview:

The Logistic Solutions division of SSI Schaefer specifies designs and implements software solutions for automated material handling and equipment in warehouses and distribution centers. The IT Project Manager works with IT development and the Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute IT projects. Excellent communication skills are essential, as the IT Project Manager will frequently communicate with customers and team members. This position requires knowledge of production framework, logistic processes, software architecture, operating systems, hardware and network design, databases, and project management processes.

Core Responsibilities:

Manage every aspect of IT projects and/or IT Change Request Projects from conception through closure Responsible for the overall delivery of the IT Customer solution (logistics, business processes, implementation) Maintain project accountability for costs, time, and quality standards Coordinate with IT department leaders to ensure appropriate project staffing throughout all phases of execution Manage and lead cross-functional IT project core teams Establish and maintain stakeholder communication, including customer meetings and internal escalation paths Implement project management processes including risk mitigation, issue escalation, and deviation management Frequently communicate and meet with customers during all project phases Coordinate IT activities across internal teams, system partners, and sub-suppliers Analyze business processes and define requirements for software solutions for automated material handling systems

Additional Responsibilities:

Support Sales and Application Engineering Support IT CSS engineers and on-site Software Support Engineers Organize and participate in software commissioning on-site Support system ramp-up and go-live

Qualification Requirements:

4-year degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience in similar work 3 years of experience working in IT projects 1 year of experience working as a lead in projects Familiar with Project Management methodologies Domestic and International travel for training, project assignments and commissioning will be required Must be willing and able to work on-call in 1st, 2nd or 3rd level •No Sponsorship•
