An IT Infrastructure Project Manager plays a crucial role in planning, executing, and overseeing technology-related projects that involve the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure. Their responsibilities span from initial project planning to final deployment and transitioning to ongoing production support. This hybrid position must be based at one of our offices located in either Charlotte, NC or Auburn Hills, Michigan.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Develop project objectives including schedules, clearly defined scope, resources and physical assets required to meet project requirements. Develop timelines and expectations for all elements of a project Manage cross-functional project teams and stakeholders across the organization. Anticipate and proactively manage change throughout the project cycle Lead the development of various project plans, ensuring alignment of activities and priorities. Provide project status updates and key project management lifecycle deliverables as identified in the AMR PMO Project Management Methodology Identify and manage risk, determine appropriate courses of action on complex issues while exercising judgment on moderately complex decisions that fall outside standard procedures, practices and policies Gather and analyze information from key business areas, drawing on knowledge experts from across the organization and industry to compile data, and draw conclusions to make concise and logical recommendations Assess the value and potential impact of solutions or alternatives including customer impact and cost implications System administration of the

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Project Management Professional or other relevant project management certification is preferred Strong understanding of IT infrastructure concepts, systems, and technologies Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in IT project management 5+ years proven experience as an IT Project Manager Track record of successfully planning and executing complex IT projects from inception to completion Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, including scope definition, resource allocation, risk management, and change control Extensive experience with using Atlassian Jira/Confluence applications for project management and task tracking including creating and managing projects, workflows, dashboards and document templates Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT specialists, engineers, and vendors Experience in managing project budgets and resources while maintaining cost-effectiveness Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences Prior involvement in implementing and maintaining IT systems in compliance with security and regulatory requirements Problem-solving aptitude and adaptability to address unexpected challenges during project
