The client’s partnership with SAS relies heavily on a SAS ProgramManager and a team of SAS project managers who perform standardprogram and project managements functions, including coordinationwith a team of subcontracted J2 developers. Therefore, in collaboration with SAS project managers, the primarypurpose of the client project managers is to participate in theproject management lifecycle as follows to help ensure projectsmove forward within the schedule, budget, scope, and resourcesallocated: Schedule and facilitate the review and approval of the followingproject artifacts provided by
SAS:
Abstracts Statements of work (SOWs) Project plans Risk logs and remediation plans Requirements Design documentation QA test plans Track the timely delivery of the above artifacts againstcontractual requirements. Track the timely response or updates to project artifacts whenadditional refinement is required. As needed, collaborate with SAS project managers to definehigh-level project tracking and status reporting dashboards orreports. Participate in SAS project and operational meetings and: Track the completion of tasks by the client, SAS, and J2 resourceagainst established deadlines. Track the delivery of meeting minutes against contractualrequirements3 and review meetings minutes for clarity andalignment. As needed, schedule, lead, facilitate meetings, and communicateeffectively with SAS, the client, J2, and externalstakeholders. As needed, provide collaborative support for standard operatingprocedures (SOPs) including documentation, diagrams, KPIs, andcontinuous improvement. Utilize project and task management applications such as MSProject, Jira, ServiceNow, MS Planner, and Asana. Work closely with the client Program Manager to understand thebroader context of projects and their intended impact in meetingprogram goals. Maintain an awareness and understanding of the client’s strategicbusiness vision, mission, objectives, priorities, relevantlegislation, governance, and funding sources & deadlines. In addition to the duties described above, the client may haveinternal projects with low-to-medium complexity in which the clientproject managers perform the following: Full project management lifecycle support and documentation,including scoping, requirements, and scheduling; and adoption ofagile, waterfall, or hybrid methodologies as appropriate. Regular high-level or detailed project status reporting andpresentations. Support for internal standard operating procedures (SOPs) includingdocumentation, diagrams, KPIs, and continuous improvement.
