This position manages technical resources and associates withinthe Information Technology (IT) department of the Bank,specifically Business Applications and application lifecyclemanagement. Manages an associate team to ensure effective deliveryof service and project results. Oversees the design,implementation, and support of systems and applications. Partnerswith peers, senior management, business units, and associate teamsto align projects or tasks with wider organizational goals. Thisposition is responsible for management of highly complex aspects ofBusiness Application tracking, analysis, and reporting. Develops,maintains, and improves upon asset management governance,standards, procedures, plans, controls, and operating metrics toachieve operational objectives. Evaluates current practices,collects information and industry trends, and createsspecifications to support business initiatives. Develops andimplements process improvements and provides a leadership role forthe work group through knowledge of IT asset management.
Responsibilities
- Project and Product Management
- Providesdirection and oversight to IT projects and products. Assignsproject tasks, drives project schedules, product releases, andconveys results or updates to the appropriate parties. Develops andutilizes methods of tracking performance.
- Managerial Functions
- Establishes and monitors expectations to achieve company anddepartment goals.
Makes appropriate changes to IT policies,standards, procedures, and efficiencies in order to meetobjectives. Manages the performance, training, and evaluation ofassigned staff. Maximizes department achievements by providingprofessional development. Ensures bank needs are met throughprioritization and resource allocation. Supports budgetforecasting, capital planning and invoicing.
- Business Support
- Directs programming, business analysis, or testing activities,including the determination of scope, time and cost estimates, andsystem impact within user requests. Facilitates systemmodifications within existing system architecture and assists witharchitectural changes as necessary. Elicits and refines businesstechnology roadmaps, including setting priority and understandingcross team impacts.
- Technical Expertise
- Serves as a technicalexpert and strategic leader to senior management, associates, andbusiness units.
Ensures that team activities comply with allappropriate configuration, change controls, and security standards.
Participates in business meetings and special projects to provideinsight on end-user needs. Keeps abreast of industry trends.
Identifies and holds accountable vendors in support of systemupdates and maintenance.
- Operational Support
- Provides expertsupport for business operations by responding to inquiries,identifying issues, and working to continuously improve businesspractices. Handles escalated matters that arise during dailyoperations and providing guidance to IT asset management analysts.
- Identifying Business Objectives
- Determines asset management anddevelops strategies to achieve company and department goals, andcommunicates these through the use of specifications, projectplans, or other forms of documentation.
- Reporting
- Producesreports based on data analysis, industry trends, and processcapabilities.
Conveys patterns, problems, and areas of improvement.
Develops process enhancements based on reporting.
- Data Analysis
- Sources, compiles, and interprets data. Performs data analysis onan advanced level, effectively communicating and directing analysisoutput.
- Manages key relationships within the enterprise. Thisincludes asset owners, operations, procurement, risk, and audit.
- Manages all aspects of the CI lifecycle including process, policy,procedure definition, and identification of improvementopportunities.
- Mentoring and educating team members andstakeholders on ITAM processes and practices Qualifications oBachelors Degree and 6 years of experience in Applicationsdevelopment, applications analysis or systems engineering OR HighSchool Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Applicationsdevelopment, applications analysis or systems engineering oSkill(s): Previous leadership for technical implementation,Knowledge of Standard Development Life Cycles (like Waterfall orAgile), Knowledge of system and data design o Previous leadershipfor technical implementation, Knowledge of Standard DevelopmentLife Cycles (like Waterfall or Agile), Knowledge of system and datadesign o Experience with ServiceNow CMDB Utah o Experience withcreating Dashboards and reporting in ServiceNow.
o Excellent verbaland written communication skills; troubleshooting & analyticalskills; and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams oExperience working in an Agile environment o Ability toindependently set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast
