We areseeking an entrepreneurial and passionate Senior Technical ProgramManager (TPM) of Mobile Technology to take our customer experienceto the next level. The Senior Technical Program Manager role willcollaborate with other product and technology teams, to ensureSchwab Mobile app is meeting our clients’ expectations. An idealcandidate will enjoy being part of an impactful and growingtechnology team, working in a fast-paced environment, be processand data oriented, have strong communication skills, and haveextensive experience with secure, client-facing online technologieswith a preference for experience in Mobile and cloudtechnologies.
The role will lead the strategic planning of thetechnology roadmap, enabling effective execution. Strategicplanning will include creating the roadmap, from long term planning(annual) to quarterly and project level execution and managingschedule progress from large phases through to detailed tasks,including understanding and managing dependencies within and acrossgroups. This will require working directly with Engineering Seniorleadership, Development Managers, Product Managers and other TPM’sto ensure timely delivery and tactical execution against the OKR’s.-What you’ll do: Serve as the primary point of contact for leadership -in yourareas of responsibility, owning proactive communications andconsistent progress updates Partnering and direct facilitation with teams at all levels;from in the weeds with developers on projects to summations andprocess strategy at the executive levelContinually evaluatetechnology effectiveness/data interoperability of complex systems,influence vendor roadmap and direction of products Assist inpresenting strategy/roadmaps to business/ IT leaders Lead multipleprojects of diverse scope where analysis requires an understandingof current business and technology trends Lead the Agile ceremonies including Quarterly planning, Sprintplanning etc. Coordinate and optimize the efforts of cross-functional teams,including across conflicting streams, identifying risks andproactively mitigating them Providing problem-solving leadership with an expert ability tonavigate dynamic and conflicting opinions and deliver within budgetand per schedule Collaborate with other technical teams and MobileArchitects/Technical leads to build the technical roadmap,initiatives and epics and refine them into stories with acceptancecriteria Manage budget and vendor relationships including work orders,vendor evaluation and delivery progress by vendorsWhat youhave
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of technical program management experience with 3+years as a TPM 2+ years of experience in client facing applications (Mobile ispreferred) Strong understanding of modern software development andenterprise and software architecture (previous software developmentexperience is highly desired) Strong understanding of multi web architectural patterns Must be able to define and document technical requirements Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum and leading technicalbacklog creation, refinement and story creation in partnership withthe developers Ability to understand the why and how for technical items andrefine epics into detailed stories Comfort in a dynamic, fast-moving and collaborative workenvironment, with a positive attitude and solid work ethic Keen eye for recognizing consistent and efficient experiencesand processes and promoting a continuous improvement culture Experience in building partnerships, mobilizing and motivatingteams, influencing others at all levels of an organization, anddriving change to effectively manage project deliverables acrossteams in a cross-functional environment Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonalskills, to communicate at all levels with clarity and precisionboth written and verbally Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field What’s in it for youAt Schwab, we’re committed to empowering ouremployees’ personal and professional success.
