As aLead Software Engineer on our team, you’ll play a key role insupporting our digital transformation journey by leading a team ofdevelopers to build and implement large scale applicationsinvolving APIs and UIs that will be leveraged across the business.
With us, you’ll be both hands-on and strategic, diving deep intocode to define system behavior, and establishing technical roadmapsthat you and the developers on your team will act upon to deliverquality and scalable software solutions. You will have a uniqueexposure to multiple frameworks as this team uses both Java &Microsoft technologies for its components. In carrying this out,you’ll also have the opportunity to directly engage with seniorleadership as you communicate back and forth with the business toensure these software solutions align with business objectives. Inthis role, you will: Build and implement complex, large-scaleapplications capable of integrating with multiple internal/externalsystems Engage in and lead development efforts across the full SDLCfrom design and coding through to test, build, QA, deployment, andmaintenance Leverage your experience with cloud infrastructure tobuild cloud based software solutions and support the migration ofapplications to the cloud Liaise with Core Platform team to build &reuse enterprise frameworks Mentor a team of software developers tobuild quality software solutions aligned to architecture guidelinesStrategize and support the migration of applications to server-lessarchitecture solutions Build applications capable of processinglarge sets of data using Spring Batch Framework with loggingcapabilities via the ELK stack Partner with business stakeholdersto translate business requirements into consumable technicalstories and software solutions 12 years of hands-on, full-stackdevelopment experience building end to end software applicationsutilizing either Java (Java, Apache Camel, Kafka, SpringBoot,Camunda) Or Microsoft technology stack (C#, .Net Core, .NETFramework, ASP.NET) Deep knowledge using Integration frameworkslike BizTalk, Appworks Deep understanding of SQL Server and CosmosDB, including database design models, database performanceoptimization and the ability to develop and maintain PL/SQLPackages, Stored Procedures, Triggers, and Functions in SQL ServerDemonstrated experience developing REST based APIs usingMicroservice architecture, Open API Specification and/or creatingspecifications w/Swagger Experience in containerizing applicationsusing Docker & Kubernetes on Azure Experience with XML, XSLT,Single Page Applications in Angular, TFS, GIT, and AppDynamicsInsurance background is a huge plus; experience in implementingCommercial Lines platform/systems integration with Duck Creek,Insurity or similar policy admin systems is a bonus Previousexperience with any cloud solutions (Azure preferred) along withexperience configuring Dev-Ops / continuous integration andcontinuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as Git,Jenkins and/or Maven is preferred Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree inComputer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering,Software Engineering The pay range for the role is $125,900 to$214,100. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skillsand other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate ina discretionary annual incentive program.
