Job Description
As Director, responsibilities include analyzing, reviewing, recommending and building strategic and tactical changes to software applications that profitability drive business by increasing visitors, improving conversion rates, capturing larger average order sizes and managing margin performance.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Directs the planning, budgeting, and operations of application development for their assigned business area(s). Serve as a liaison and primary point of contact for assigned business area to coordinate project initiation, prioritization, and IT resource allocation. Participate in the development and execution of strategic and tactical business plans with other members of the cross functional team supporting their assigned business area. Provides technical leadership for assigned business area. Management of personnel, which includes work allocation, training, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates Team Members to achieve peak productivity and performance. Advises and consults with assigned department(s) on production software issues, concerns, problems, and questions. Partner with key cross-functional teams to ensure all relevant organizational goals and implications are factored into all application development projects. Build and direct a cohesive team of internal and external personnel to effectively develop software applications. Ensures team member compliance with our O’Reilly policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, Data Integrity, Software Development Methodology, Project Tracking, and Sarbanes Oxley related activities. Maintains a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems. Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES
Required:
5+ years of proven industry experience Experience in direct support of business organizations Proven leadership of large software application development projects Outstanding analytical skills, strong experience interpreting test results & drawing conclusions Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives Ability to coordinate and oversee the efforts of multiple application development teams Analytic and logical thinking Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience Must work well in a team environment Must be able to learn independently Knowledge of flow charts including both business and system flows and of programming logic and code Ability to write technical instructions in the use of programs and/or program modifications MS Office including Visio O’Reilly Auto Parts has a proven track record of growth and stability.
