Application Development Manager Job Description:

The Application Development Manager manages an applicationdevelopment team and oversees the development and maintenance ofapplications to include both internal development and the extensionor customization of commercial applications. Instructs, directs,and checks the work of software developers. Works with customersand technical staff to resolve complex problems with software andresponds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. Managesthe application product portfolio and provides strategic vision andleadership. Communicate with the Product Advisory Board to develop,manage, and maintain advanced product line roadmaps, priorities andtimelines.

Application Development Manager Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelorsdegree in computer science or related field or directly relatedexperience 7+ years of application developer/software engineer experience 1+ years of previous team leadership, supervisory experience,technical lead or project management roles

Application Development Manager Preferred Skills:

Developing andsupporting client/server and Internet based applications Understanding of the latest RESTful practices, Scripting (client)vs. scripting (server) options, Java, MySql, JEE ApplicationServers (JBoss preferred), Lamp stack, IIS, XML, HTML, PHP, Perl,JavaScript (AJAX), MySQL, RSS, ATOM, JSON, Apache, Serverscripting. Command line SFTP, SCP, SSH, and Rsync, SVN, OCX and client plug-indevelopment, other standards based feed synchronization, Linuxand/or Mac server experience, Continuous Integration Tools, Cloudcomputing principles and best practices Agile project leadership experience or relevant certification(e.g., Scrum Master, SAFe) Knowledge of organization, operating procedures and policies of thecompany Experience with Micro-Service architecture Experience with system modernization tactics and practices Knowledge of software development best practices Knowledge of Financial systems and related tools to supportenhancements, migration, upgrades and package deployments.

Knowledge of Structured Query Language Application Development Manager Preferred Skills:

Develops andmodifies internal and external facing software applications. Coordinates application development with contract developers andother company developers. Provides full application development life cycle support, includingspecifications, prototypes, development, quality assurance anddeployment. Communicates effectively with internal and external users as neededto support channel integration, development and support. Supports development with appropriate documentation. Provides task and project level estimates scoped by availableinformation. Engages business partners to reach agreement on decisionpoints. Develops the core positioning and messaging for the product
