Total Wine & More is seeking a talented Lead Mobile SoftwareEngineer to join our forward-thinking Digital Technology team atour Boca Raton, FL or Bethesda, MD development centers.

In thispivotal role, you will lead the design, development, andtroubleshooting of impactful applications that elevate our customerexperience. Curiosity and a customer-focused mindset are encouragedas many features will be released behind a feature flag or as partof an A/B test. You will drive for continuous optimization ofsecurity and performance, while tackling the exciting challenges ofintegrating personalization. Reporting to the Director ofEngineering, you will work on scalable mobile React Nativeapplications in a collaborative, fast-paced environment that blendsstartup energy with enterprise maturity.

You will Collaborate with cross-functional teams including productmanagers, backend engineers, test automation engineers, UXdesigners, and Scrum Masters to continuously enhance customerexperience. Develop and maintain modular client code, ensuring highperformance, maintainability, and testability. Lead the development and updating of shared component librariesto enable rapid iteration and consistent developmentpractices. Mentor and coach senior, mid-level, and junior developers,fostering a sense of ownership, accountability, and continuouslearning. Cultivate a positive team atmosphere that encourages opencommunication, creative problem-solving, and innovativethinking. Translate functional requirements into features for iOS andAndroid users, while championing accessibility best practices. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues, ensuringstability and reliability of applications. Lead code reviews and automated testing efforts, ensuring codequality and coverage targets. Lead deployment, support, and monitoring of software acrossvarious environments. Identify and negotiate technical debt with product owners forinclusion in sprints, balancing short-term needs with long-termgoals. Participate in an on-call rotation with the digital andengineering organizations.

You will come with Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering,Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 6+ years of production software development using JavaScriptES6, HTML5, and CSS3. 4+ years of experience with React Native, particularly withfunction components and hooks. 3+ years of experience with statically typed languages such asGo, C, C++, or Rust. Solid understanding of server-side rendering (SSR),asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and RESTfulAPIs. Proficiency in Redux, TypeScript, and NoSQL databases. Commitment to high-quality coding practices, includingdocumentation, code reviews, and adherence to best practices. Passion for staying current with the latest tools andmethodologies. Strong problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity. Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complextechnical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
