About this Position The Senior Designer designs and develops brochures, posters, logos, packaging, books, catalogs, flyers, newsletters, magazines, as well as extensive digital graphics for email marketing, social media, websites, broadcasts, virtual events, live events, presentations and exhibits. Implements concept and either delivers or directs the production of the project from beginning to end. This is a hybrid position that requires working onsite in the Duluth, Georgia office and remotely multiple days each week. The estimate salary range for this role is: 80K – 85K Candidate submissions must include attachment or link to portfolio. Candidates that do not submit portfolio will not be considered. Responsibilities & Qualifications Design work Receives design assignments from Creative Director Develops work to be accomplished by gathering information, assets and materials Conceptualizes projects and collaborates with Senior Creative Director, Creative Director, Digital Creative Director and/or Writer Conceives and designs artwork based on specific project needs, stakeholder requirements and budget Creates original pieces to include custom typography, illustrations and infographics Maintains corporate brand consistency throughout all marketing projects Project Management – Coordinates multiple projects at once to meet deadlines Ensures efficient workflows to meet objectives and deadlines Oversees design projects from conception to delivery Delivers projects to Editorial for proofreading Implements corrections and revisions or directs this process as requested by editorial or management Prepares final art or directs its production using necessary equipment Liaises with production and internal departments to ensure deadlines are met Maintains project documentation Coordinates with printer performing pre-press proofs or press checks as needed Consults with upper management Provides Creative Director with daily progress of creative assignments Consults with Creative Director and receives approval prior to finalizing creative direction for assignment Special Projects Performs work for various special projects initiated through other departments as requested Provides art direction for photographers and on-location photoshoots Performs other art-related activities, such as producing digital graphics for broadcasts and events Possesses mastery of digital asset library Stays up-to-date with industry developments, technologies, tools and trends, implementing best practices Performs miscellaneous duties as required or assigned Additional Responsibilities may include the following Creates animation and video graphics for events and/or social media needs Develops Presentation Graphics for meetings and events Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or degree from accredited Design School in graphic design, typography, illustration, digital media 3-5 years experience in graphic design experience within a corporate marketing department or advertising agency Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, predominantly Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator Flexible and able to quickly and effectively change priorities and direction Works independently as well as in a team environment Able to take ownership of projects and execute Ability to meet tight deadlines Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of the printing process – including print production and prepress. Skilled in PowerPoint Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Extensis Portfolio Time management and organizational skills Attention to detail Flexible and able to quickly and effectively change priorities and direction Works independently as well as in a team environment Able to take ownership of projects and execute Ability to meet tight deadlines #
